The entirely unfamous holler folk musician, stand up comedian, player of such classic venues as Hebden Trades Club and the Surf Cafe and 300 mile marcher of the people’s march for the NHS, Icarus has shared the bill with acts as diverse as Billy Bragg, Attila the Stockbroker and Werbeniuk. The guttural pleasantly unpleasant voice and variety of guitar styles are as much a part of his music as ever.

Winners of the coveted Gospel Choir of the Year title at the Sligo International Choir Competition, the Accord Gospel Choir’s repertoire is as diverse as its members, ranging from traditional Gospel spirituals to contemporary popular music – guaranteeing an entertaining performance. From humble beginnings performing at weddings and christenings, the Choir has grown to deliver high profile performances at the Bridgewater Hall and Royal Northern College Of Music.

A true scrubber in rubber, and Burlesque Idol finalist, Mrs No Overall is a downtrodden cleaning lady who breaks out from domestic drudgery in glorious celebration of middle-aged exuberance. Her alto ego Kath Morgan-Thompson is many things. Yoga teacher, Bollywood, Kathak and Northern Soul dancer, award-winning performance artist… and a kick-ass comedian.

Old School was formed back in 1977 by three Preston school mates but yes friends, after a short 25 year ‘sabbatical’, they’re back and better than ever with a new name! Three guitarists with 18 strings between them and sometimes it really sounds like they are playing them all at once. The drummer is very upbeat though.
